Dog Rose Fruit

Dog rose Rosa canina L. belongs to Rosaceae family and it is an ornamental bush commonly found in the area of the whole country. Medicinal part of the plant is dog rose fruit Rosae pseudo-fructus, the source of vitamin C, organic acids, polyphenols, carotenoids and anthocyanins. Processed dog rose fruit products have nutritional, strengthening, anti-scorbutic, diuretic and detoxifying properties. Extracts are harmless for children and pregnant women. Additionally, oil acquired from dog rose stones is exceptionally valuable. It is widely used in cosmetology.
