Goldenrod Herb

Goldenrod herb (Solidago virgaurea L.) belongs to the Asteraceae family. Herbal raw material of the plant is the herb (Solidaginis herba) which contains flavonoids (mainly derivatives of quercetin and kaempferol), saponins, phenolic glycosides, tannins and minerals. Products made from goldenrod herb are traditionally used for rinsing the urinary tract in benign inflamation of the bladder and for kidney stones, as a preventive measure.
